End of First Week

Hope you had a great week back to school!

I am going to add advising syllabus, writing workshop syllabus, Tolkien, songwriting, and Making Meaning to this page by MONDAY. Please check back soon...

However, to keep you updated here are some important due dates:

Writing class:

• students need to work with one other person on Team Writing Prompt from class handout (1 page of writing each) DUE September 28th
• Select 3 options (from menu = appetizer, entree, dessert) and begin working in and out of class. DUE in January TBD

Songwriting:

• choose a project by Tuesday September 22nd. Can be an original song or cover or work with other students to perform by Thursday, October 8th.
• STUDENTS can perform for Trillium in Bloom October 9th in the evening (7pm) as a substitute for this performance

Tolkien:

Read through Chapter Two: Shadow of the Past (including prologue) by Monday September 21st.

Drama:

Structured Improvisations on Monday with partners. Bring props or costumes if necessary.

Advising:

• Independent projects must begin to be designed.
• Add/drop ends this coming week.
• Read aloud starts Monday
• Current Events
• Rotation Design (continued)
• Therapy Dolls this week! (Thanks Amy...)
• Friday Field Trip = Bowling, Books, or Birds (Forest Park/Mt.Tabor)? TBD
